I would probably use a solid, dark green that blends with the green in your border. I prefer dark bindings as they are likely to pick up the most soiling, and a dark binding usually frames the quilt nicely.
I usually go with the darkest color in the quilt for my binding, also. Though I do like the idea of a striped binding, especially if you can find something printed on the bias!!
