I was pretty good too! The pattern I was going to use for the layer cake I bought was advertised as being jelly roll friendly, which to me means 2.5" strips. The pattern is actually 2 5/8" so instead of getting 4 pieces from each 10" square, I only got 3, which means that I needed more fabric. My first idea was to run out & buy some FQs, but I dug thru my stash and came up with some pieces that will work just fine. Then to top it off, my girlfriend came over today and shopped my stash for one of her projects. Reduced my stash & now I have lunch money!
next week might be iffy. Another quilty friend from out state is coming and wants to do a mini shop hop
