Cilantro can be spicy if its a certain breed of cilantro... like mexican cilantro... *shudders* I was thinking spicy due to the cumin :) I need to try that soup!
Cilantro is a little more bitey than parsley, the spicy will come from the ginger & cumin. Think ginger snaps they sometimes have a bite depending on how they are made. You could eat some hot peppers like jalapeno or serrano. Now that will open up your head.
