I learned PP from the Farmer's Wife 1930's book. A group here on the board were making the blocks together... we made two a week until we had all hundred or so. That much PP, that often, really cemented the process in my head. If I just tried to PP infrequently, I'd forget and have to learn it over and over. But after 100 little blocks, I'll never forget!
It's really fun and you don't have to waste a lot of fabric once you get proficient at it.
