Have you thought about doing some pinwheels or alternating 9 patches for the next border. Sometimes, too many "just" 1 fabric borders begins to look a bit out of place. The piecing can be on each side of two corners, or the entire side of a border or 1 color on two attached sides and a different color on the other two sides. Just some ideas.....This Yahoo search shows a lot of options.

edited to add: I see others had similar ideas. Your quilt is very pretty as it is but I do understand wanting a quilt in a size that can be used. I know you will pick something pretty.
