Which is best card or disk in a machine?
How big of an embroidery area is best?
Would like to do 12 in blocks with it.
The bigger the frame area is the more expensive the machine will be. So I'd decide what my budget is first and then buy a machine that fits your budget. I'd try to get a machine that will stitch at least a 6x6in area if possible. Also, many machines may have a 6x6 frame, but may only stitchout 5.71in actually stitching area. The ones that use an USB port are easier, but I use my machine that has a floppy disk just as much. I find my Babylock a lot easier to use than my Bernina. I bought a Bernina 580 last year and had to trade it in and got a Babylock instead. So be sure to test drive a machine before you buy it...don't just let the sales person do all the stitching.
