Yep, me too! every pattern can be a scrappy by using multiple colors in the same "family of color" just like you said! Just love to do scrappy. Good luck in finding your favorite pattern. I just keep trying new ones and I have liked them all. But I guess my two favorites so far has been a string that made a star and a string that sewed into a chevron. The beauty of strings is that you don't have to worry about exact cutting, yay. Oh, I almost forgot check out Exuberant color. She as a quarter log cabin block using strings and I made that one too. It looks like it could be an art piece on a wall! Everyone that sees it loves it and it is all scrapps!
