I also bought (shame on me) a Singer 99K with no foot pedal, no power plug in, and no cover on the bobbin. I looked on line and saw that there were many that were missing the cover on the bobbin.
Took it to the Amish repairman here. He has the parts and will clean and oil and tune it up for total of $80.00.
I paid $15.00 for the machine. The wheel turned freely. I just hope it is not a boat anchor.
