A friend of mine had been given a 221-1 Singer Featherweight by the son of a woman who had passed. She used it for about a year and then needed some money. She offered it to me for $100, so I bought it. It is exactly like the one my grandmother had and I had used many years ago. It is in great shape and I am so thrilled to own it. I looked up the serial number and I believe it was made in about 1937. It would not sew when I tried it out, but after adjusting every thing it sews beautifully. Woo Hoo!
