When Michaels recently bought out a fabric chain, the discussion was that they would start carrying the fabric. I think they are still discussing whether to have it in brick and mortar or just online. Selling fabric has a huge overhead expense. Not only the inventory and store space, but the personnel to handle it. In this day when rising minimum wage is forcing us to cut employee hours, this is a very difficult decision. It would be terrible PR to have the fabric and then withdraw it.
