Yes, absolutely. Many quilters use rayon thread top and bobbin, for a pretty look on both sides. I have quilts 30 years old with rayon thread top and bobbin, and they look just as good as they did when first quilted. Someone shared that Sulky has a 40 PolyDeco Thread, too, and we do, and for children's quilts that may be washed constantly or bleached, that may be a better choice. We also have 60 wt. prewound bobbins and a 60 wt. PolyLite Quilting Thread. There is also a 60 wt. spun polyester bobbin thread, which is a little more "hairy" and not as slick as most bobbin threads, if that has been an issue for you. There's not a right or wrong here - just personal preference with your style of quilting.
