I know some people use a washing bag for small pieces as well. I don't use much in the way of precuts. Fat quarters usually the smallest. When I have a charm pack I just use it as is.

Oh Elly thanks. I have pinking shears and hardly ever use them, never gave that a thought. Will from now on.
And thanks everyone else with the suggestions. No I don't have a serger, but that sounds like a good idea too. And I did check out the video, interesting thought.
And so you all know, I fell, not hard but hard enough. I am working on another stripe pattern and needed striped material. I don't keep it because I don't like to work with stripes as you all know. So off to the discount place and got several pieces of different type striped stuff. But I'm comfortably back on the wagon again.
