Regarding the mistake in the photo on Carol's site, she makes a game of it in the written explanation. Scroll down and you will see she wrote:

In this quilt one of the strips of the triangles was sewn in backward. Can you find it?"
good job in finding it Nan, I'm not sure I would have noticed it at all had you not written about it.
