I agree with the poster who mentioned the batting requirements. If you've met that in the body of the quilt, I'd not worry beyond that. Not knowing the width of your border - hard to say with respect to your batting requirements. If you're not looking for anything intricate, I'd just go for some straight lines in the border - if it's even needed predicated on the batting/quilting requirements.
