Hello and welcome from an Iowa girl. I am the granddaughter of Swedish immigrants..as a child I always knew they were planning a surprise as they would talk in Swedish. Unfortunately all I remember is "tack sa mika" and "varsagod"...but good words to know in my book. My farmer grandfather had apprenticed as a tailor in the late 1800's, but never forgot his love of sewing. One of my fondest memories is watching him sew at his treacle machine.
