You said the table has a mechanical air lift. I'm not sure I understand why you would need a lift for the Janome 6600, since it doesn't have a free arm. My cabinet (which was pricey) has the lift to raise my previous machine for me to use the free arm, but I never use that since I got the 6600.
BTW, you will LOVE the 6600--it's a fantastic machine!!
