For some reason I am seeing this border done in sea blues in my mind, but I'm not positive what goes inside either. I think something with curves and movement suits - I like the suggestions for drunkard's path, and the snail blocks look good too. Storm at sea is probably too busy unless you put a solid border between.
Maybe an Around the World but cut sort of like a Bargello so the blocks in the center are smaller?
I love finding patterns in the ordinary world around me. I take all kinds of weird photos that only would make sense to another quilter.
