I did a baby blanket once with grandmas flower garden (has hexes). It started out hard to match up cuz I was sewing by machine. Half way thru I decided to sew it by hand instead. It worked alot better cuz you have more control over your stitches. I'm glad it was a small quilt or I never would have finished it. That's one reason why I'm only going to make one big block for my wall. I found my colors, 3 shades of blue, 2 shades of rose, 1 shade of gold and 1 black for the sashing.
