Agree that is bias binding. I've used it once for a NYB quilt that was all circles on the edge. Used youtube videos. Key is to read the directions, read again, & maybe make a practice strip. Once I got the concept, it was the easiest binding to work with & came out beautifully. Good luck but patience is the key. kathy
