I used it once, also. Luckily I used it on top of a printed on paper pattern [thanks to my printer.] I never used it totally with quilting as a friend told me of the problems she had with the pieces of it under her quilting stitches.
I do use Quilter's Preview Paper from HandiQuilter. It isn't paper, but is vinyl that you can draw on to see what design you might want to use. It has a marked order so you don't draw on your quilt. This will give you guidelines in your mind for your quilting.
If you want to quilt over something, then use Golden Threads paper. It removes easily enough & will wash out if any left.
Wash away stabilizer is also good but more expensive.
