. I use the flat method of layering each selvage and stitching the edge so it's really not stiff at all. Granted, it's a little heavier than a regular pieced quilt but still quite usable if I choose to. I first sorted selvages by color to determine if the idea was even possible. Then when I found I could easily fill a project box each with the main colors I designed the layout.
