I wound up making these as I like the shoulder protection. I couldn't, for the life of me, find any cloth diapers in the stores around here. I was in a time crunch and couldn't wait for an online order of them. They turned out very well. I found her pattern made them a bit smaller than I liked, so I made them with the full width of a piece of paper (8½"), minus the curve for the neck. I used two layers of flannel.
