campion, another way is to makea cloth "belt" around the waist and close it with velcro, or hooks and eyes, Then make your bow and play with it so that the loops are straight and not kitty cornered, atach this bow to the belt with velcro or actually tack it on to just one side of the belt to cover the belt closing. If it is tacked it will not come loose or be pulled out, etc.
