I think, while the ribbon is symbolic, most women don't want to be constantly reminded of breast cancer. I'm a 9 year survivor, and I like pink in small amounts, with other colors. My friend and I are holding a "Walk for the Cure" in April here in our small town. My Quilting Group worked together to make a quilt for us to raffle, but we chose a kit from Connecting Threads called Aqua Terra, in southwest colors...no pink involved. We think people are more likely to buy raffle tickets for something they might want to use in there home...pink not so much. Since we want to raise money for Susan G. Komen foundation, selling tickets is our priorty. Quilt is at the Long Armer's, I'll post it when I get it back.
