I use the 8 x 8 for squaring up small blocks and for cutting, I also have a 6 x 12, 6 x 24, 6 x 6, 8 x 8, 4 x 4, 2 1/2 x 2 1/2,12 1/2 x 12 1/2, and a few more I can't find. I found each one had a place in my sewing room.
