My 9 year old grand-daughter just completed a rag quilt. We finished snipping it yesterday morning. The instructions recommended that she rag it on only one side. We didin't press the seams open. Once she brings it back washed, I'll post a photo to share with everyone.
By the way, check the filter on your dryer often, you don't want to start a fire. Happy sewing!!!
