I saw a French Rose Quilt completed at a local quilt show and they used fleece between each layer. They cut the rose layer and a matching layer of fleece and it was magical! Each rose layer popped! The layers were sewn to a background, batting added with a backing and quilted When completed the roses looked beautiful.
Was it fleece or was it flannel? I've seen them done that way with flannel. Kinda fascinated about the effect fleece would have.
