I'm thinking that most shops (at least the ones I've been to) wind up developing a particular style, in that they tend to lean toward a particular type of fabrics. And it probably reflects the owner's preferences. Though, in the end, it's really about satisfying the customers' taste.
I've always thought that to be true. And I am most attracted to the shops where the owners taste and mine are similar. But the differences are what demand I visit every quilt shop I get near because I always know I will see something different from the rest.
