A double gauze blanket is just a blanket made of double gauze fabric

If you're not familiar with double gauze it's a fabric that's popular in Asia (Japan and South Korea in particular) and it's just what it sounds like... a fabric made of 2 layers of gauze material. Each layer of gauze is joined together by little stitches at regular intervals. The gauze fabric is normally flat and is generally of a better quality than the single layer gauze sold in the US.

It's delightfully airy and usually quite soft as it is often used for baby things. Despite being made of a super light fabric, double gauze is surprisingly snuggly but I don't find it hot at all.

The double gauze blanket I made isn't finished yet because I was thinking of quilting it to a piece of muslin or making a sandwich of double gauze-muslin-double gauze. However, after testing it for a few nights I love it just the way it is, so I'll be finishing the edges soon

Nothing exciting but here's the front and back of the gauze blanket. The top layer has yarn dyed pinstripes in black on white and the second layer is plain white.

Please excuse the rumpled look-- I just got out of bed
