This chart and the explanation at the bottom of it were extremely helpful to me. I learned that "acid forming" or "alkaline forming" foods have nothing to do with the pH in them. It's all about how they act in the body--what residue they leave. Lemons, for example--made me wonder how they made the alkalizing list when they're acidic. Now I know. I still don't understand why you'd try to alkalize your system with a lemon if acid tears you up, though.
Anybody?

Also I didn't see pomegranate seeds on the list. THey're yummy and very good if you're trying to reduce inflammation.
