You are so lucky to have such a nice wall for your design wall. I completely understand about wanting it to look nice.

I took a piece of the pink insulation board from Menards and covered it (use duck tape on the back so it doesn't show) with flannel. Then you can either attach this to the wall or lean it against the wall.
