When I , over 64 tell my Granddaughter , almost 23 how things use to be when I was a child, you can imagine her shock at what we didn't have. She is not spoiled, buys and pays her own way, nothing given to her she didn't earn herself. I try to give her more, she insists on getting herself. I'm very proud of her.
