In that case, I'd be looking for a new hairdresser.

I usually tip about 25% or a bit more. My hairdresser charges between $55 and $65 for a haircut and I normally give him $15. I also tip the shampoo girl $5. I have very short hair so my haircuts happen about every 5 weeks.

I do NOT tip or give gifts at Christmas.
