Welcome to the board, your going to be happy you found it. I personally don't own this machine but the Brother 1500 is a straight stitch only machine and it is comparable to the Juki 2010 it sells for I believe under $700. Unless you are looking for a mid arm. For the amount of money you can save buying the Brother over the Juki the people that I know who own these machines love them and the ability to FMQ.
