a.m is morning/daytime or alta meridian before meridian. p.m. is afternoon or after meridian. meridian is middle, or middle of day. latin abreviation for 'after' is p w a line over top. learned this in nursing school. writing scripts (prescriptions) or giving directions in nursing notes it's common to use 'p' for after. c with line over top of letter is equivelant to 'with'. medical jargon is comprised of greek & latin suffixes & prefixes the same as most science based fields. time keeping on global scale is a precise field. and a whole lot of other fun area of esoteric information for trivia fans (such as moí )
