I'm new to quilting and have only made a few, so take this with a grain of salt. 3 dudes goes together really well and looks great. I'm working on one now that's also very fast but looks great...just took framed squares, split them diagonally, mix them up and reassemble. Easy peasy, looks great and gives you a lot of quilting options. Depending on how large you make your squares, you can cover a lot of ground quickly. I have no idea what the pattern would be called, but I saw a gorgeous example on Facebook done in Fall colors. Here's my example, although not as nice as the one I saw and still in progress: [ATTACH=CONFIG]578356[/ATTACH] although you might want to leave out the dog...
