Red face Go Iowa Hawkeyes

Good morning, quilters. I finished this quilt at the final hour. This quilt is a gift for my niece. I retrieved the quilt from my quilter yesterday, and I spent the afternoon trimming it, binding it, then washing and drying the quilt. My niece takes possession of the quilt today, and this evening she and her parents drive from suburban Chicago to Iowa City, where my niece begins her freshman year.
I bought the fabrics at Fabric.com. The pattern is free, available at Quilter's Cache. It is 16" square, and called "Favorite Block". My niece and I both like this block a lot.
I've made a number of quilts in university colors and fabrics for my sons and nieces and nephew. This is the last I'll make for many months. My youngest niece is a rising sophomore in HS. I love ❤️ sending the college students off to school with a quilt in the colors of their alma maters.
