I just noticed that the center squares do not appear to be the exact same size. Some appear square and some appear rectangular. Also, in some places, there's a line of quilting right in the middle of a "step". In some places, fabrics are repeated right next to each other. It appears to me that "she" may not have had a pattern, but adjusted her plan on the fly.
