Kansas City Shuffle
I found the free pattern for this on the jinnybeyer.com web site, it was a free pattern called The Radio Windmill. She had included a colored depiction of 4 blocks, all the same, set into a square, using 3 fabrics, and credited it to Kansas City Star 1941. She posted the block pattern in 3 different sizes. (Isn't that one of the newspaper that Nancy Cabot had her patterns published? No idea.) Anyway. Jinny Beyer called her block Radio Windmill. In honor of The Kansas City Star, I am calling mine the Kansas City Shuffle, because I set them different than others have set these blocks. My blocks finished at 5" square, and instead of the blocks all having the same orientation, I have mine shuffling, or maybe dancing, across the rows.
