I made that a few years ago for my DGD but used a light background. I love yours but I don't like to work with black for 2 reasons. 1. Hurts my eyes 2. My cat is light colored and his fur would show up on it no matter how hard I tried to keep it clean! Lol

I researched this pattern when I was deciding on a background color, and I found our posting about your quilt here on the QB. You made sure each cat had some pink, right? Your quilt is beautiful, and I came very close to doing a white background. But I bravely dove in.
No regrets, but I wouldn't do it again.
