Phew, have I been searching... and searching the net and have managed to get to the shops to have a rummage! I didn't realise just how mind boggling it would be to find the right fabric in miniature.
Just the thought of going to Williamsburg has me drooling. I hope your daughter had a wonderful time there, Jane. And thank you for the site recommendation, it's brilliant!
The photos ore of the two backgrounds I've whittled my choice down to. The other is some fabric that I liked for the gown and the underskirt. The appliqué doll is going to be enlarged at the stationers tomorrow, so will be bigger and I hope the pattern on the fabric won't look as big. I know the red is not what a Tudor would have worn, but do you think it would look nice, or I should carry on searching or maybe use plain red/burgundy fabric?
