Thank you all for your wonderful thoughts and feedback, this is why I love this community!! In all honesty I never even thought about the grey or white for binding, so thank you! The backing will be grey so I'm going to go with the grey for the binding as well, I did give a lot of thought to the white as well, and agree that it would be a great choice, but this is for a 9 yr old boy and they can be more rough and tumble.
