I had no idea you'd been so sick. Very, very sorry and hoping you are on the mend. I had salmonella after visiting China in my 20's, and it was horrible. It was several weeks before I could eat anything more than clear, strained broth. Don't eat mayo in restaurants, where you can't control how it was handled. You will have salmonella in your body for probably the rest of your life, and you'll be extra sensitive to the slightest 'taint' in mayo and egg products, that wouldn't even bother another person. Ask me how I know!
