There was an online class I wanted to take but but never did. It was machine sewing with metallic thread and machine embroidery. It was a gorgeous wall hanging. They recommended putting a small piece of mole skin on your machine just above the needle and putting Thread Heaven on it. It was supposed to keep the metallic thread from shredding and breaking. I haven't tried it. It did sound like a good idea.
