But I have been kinda sneaky about recycling as there are those that speak disparagingly about it. I am not an art quilter and just piece between 100-150 quilt tops every year for charity giving. I make quilts that are meant to be used up and worn out like my grandmother did. Yours is just stunning. Suddenly I am quite proud of the quilts I have been making thanks to your beautiful flimsy. Recycling and going green never looked better!
First off, you are an angel making that many charity quilts each year. I also use recycled sheets as backing when possible and they are very worthy of being used for quilts.
The quilt in the photo is proof that sheets 'need' a new lease on life, to cover up with and not just slide between them.
