No... Why would you need permission to start a chat thread? Nothing is being traded, mailed or sold. So what's the big deal? People are just discussing the construction and posting their progress, just like so many other threads on this board.
Mary, did you ask the admin who deleted your thread... WHY? Or how she would prefer you to do it? Remember when I started this thread.... Givio had tried to start one first and hers was deleted with no explanation. I started one in BOW because it IS a BOW, and it soon got 'moved' to Challenges and Contests. It is neither a challenge or a contest. But we just lived with it. At least we had a place.
I would ask the Admin. what particular hoops you are supposed to jump through in order to post a sew-along chat thread. Let her know there's a BOW starting and people want a place to talk about it.
