I decided to zigzag with black thread around my 'The Stanley' block pieces because I liked my block but it needed something to break up the colors that were too similar. I used Tear-A-Way stabilizer to keep the block the correct size while I zigzagged. I am so glad I am doing a BOW with my LQS because I have had lots of practice appliquing so that's why I thought of using a simple decorative stitch.
