Hi, I do glue them down lightly using a glue stick, the kind thy used in classrooms. I first center the doilie on the fabric then I fold it in half, lightly rub the glue stick on the edges as well as a few other spots, especially the areas I will be sewing. I place that part back then fold the other side...I don`t use a lot of glue. After I sew the edges and other areas I want, I turn it upside down and I iron the backside just to make sure the glue is dry.
I contacted the company and was told that I need an "applique release sheet". I don't know what that is yet, but I'm willing to look for it. I still don't understand how that would work either, as I want to mount my tatting onto black velvet.
