I had a similar problem and it was driving me crazy (crazier??!). I got a very powerful flashlight and down in the bobbin case area was a tiny piece of thread caught in the mechanism. Tweezers pulled it out and no more nests!!!! Amazing how something so tiny could cause so much frustration.
