Default Ruler work on my 15-88

The Westalee ruler starter kit that I ordered at the Madison, WI quilt expo was waiting for me when I came home from work Friday night. I dropped the feed dogs on my 15-88, made a scrap sandwich and started playing. This sample looks like a 6 year old did it, but I have to say, it was a blast! Trying to coordinate moving the quilt, holding the ruler, getting the hand wheel to go in the right direction all while treadling sure is challenging. I did have quite a few snapped upper threads when that dratted wheel went i the wrong direction, but it is just so much fun. I think once I develope some half way decent skill with this, I am going to have a really good time quilting negative spaces:-)

This was the first time I tried free motion quilting but it sure will not be the last
